Granma
This region is famous for its beautiful mountainous areas with lush vegetation and wildlife. Its coastal landscapes, marine terraces and attractive beaches as Mareadel Portillo, together with National Parks La Demajagua, Turquino and Desembarco del Granma, the latter a World Heritage Site, are also local attractions.
Its capital, Bayamo, was founded in 1513 as the Spanish second village in Cuba, which currently holds the title of National Monument.
Manzanillo, second major city of the province, stands out for its coasts ending at Guacanayabo gulf, and for its pergola, showing rich architectural values.
